Breed slips to 2003

CDV announces that its award-winning first-person shooter has been delayed until the middle of next year.

CDV Software Entertainment has today announced that the release of Breed, which took the "Best PC Game" award at this year's ECTS show in London, has been pushed back to the second quarter of 2003. Originally scheduled for release later this year, Breed is a squad-based first-person shooter that--with its dropships, vehicles, and two-weapon limit for players--is more than a little reminiscent of Halo on the Xbox.

Despite today's news, a single-player demo of the game is still expected before the end of the year. For more information, check out our Halo of the game. Incidentally, an Halo of Breed is also in development and scheduled for release next year.
