That seems like fairly good timing actually...February.

It'll give proper time to clear my plate of most old/new games for 3DS & PS3, and something to look forward to after the holidays.

...In the meantime, I'll just stare at some artwork...

It's scheduled for 6th of December 2013 for Europe, less than a month away!  It's very rare that Europe gets a game before the US, and a 2 month gap at that.

I am definitely getting this.

It's about time.

I sincerely hope the North American and European versions of the game contain the full Japanese voice over of the original release. The quality of the English dub in the trailers I have seen so far isn't that high.

I wanted to get the EU Special Edition but I'll settle for this

It seems that whenever Square-Enix does something that's NOT Final Fantasy, it's amazing so I definitely am excited for this.

@abHS4L88 That's the funny part. That's why I crave a sequel to The World Ends With You. It deserves one.

@soulless4now

Oh yes please! I was already ecstatic when the characters appeared in Kingdom Hearts 3D now they need an official sequel. My favorite handheld RPG of the 7th gen.

@abHS4L88 Same here. Nomura knows we want a sequel, but he's still working on too many projects right now to start on it. :(

This game may get a lower score because this game might be consider misogynistic for some viewers hahaha. (Joking)

Prof. Layton and the Azran Legacy is awesome. My favourite in the series by far.

3DS player! you plug it into your Wii U and you can use your tablet controller and play 3DS games on a big screen with a comfortable controller. Its depressing to know all these RPGs that are out there that require you to use those little controls for hours. Make this happen Nintendo!

@bunchanumbers 3DS graphics stretched to bigger screen... no, just no. I always use the circle pad pro when playing, and it's really comfortable, like holding a controller.

@bunchanumbers The Demo Reminds me of a modern take on Final Fantasy V - VII but instead of Cloud you run around as a women called Agnès/Annyes doing quests and building things, guess thats the closest translation they have from japanese, quite fun, not sure if ill buy it but ill keep it on my radar if i fancy another 3DS game.

February? Damn that's a long time from now. But my February is guaranteed to be a good one if BD and Layton come out at the same time.

could someone explain to me why this is called Bravely default?? its like calling it 'Courageously Basic?!'

Stebsis
Stebsis

@cousinmerl The game has these combat mechanics called "brave" and "default". When you use default that character takes defence position and takes less damage, and also gives you kind of extra action point next turn, you can default up to 3 times. Then you use brave to choose how many actions you want to do in a turn, you can do stuff like abilities, magic and attack all in same turn to deal massive damage. You can also use brave without using default, though this puts your action points to negative numbers, meaning you can't attack in next turn(s) depending how many braves you used. I've played the demo some hours and it gives it nice strategic depth... Though this doesn't in any way explain why they named the game itself Bravely Default :D

@Stebsis @cousinmerl and now i know, thanks. I am intrigued - but want to see the review first

Bravely Default and Drakengard 3.  There is still some hope for Square-Enix after all!
