No Caption Provided Microsoft's Games for the Holidays promotion kicks off in two weeks, but for those looking to pick up something new today, Xbox Live has a few fresh offerings to check out.

Leading the pack this week is Hudson's Bomberman Battlefest (800 MS points, or $10). The Xbox Live Arcade title follows the franchise's proven mechanics, in that it has players using bombs to take down enemy players. Before players can defeat their opponent, however, they must blow up bricks that stand in the way. The title boasts eight-player functionality and five game modes: VIP, Capture the Crown, Bankroll, Paintbomb, and Capture the Flag.

Microsoft added two free XBLA titles to the download space today, the first of which is Doritos Crash Course. The nacho-chip-themed obstacle course game-show-themed title uses players' avatars as in-game characters and supports both online and offline co-op play.

The other free XBLA title out today is Harms Way. A half racing, half shooting title, the game demands two skill sets from its player: driving and shooting. As a sniper, players must blow up competing racers, and as a racer, players must finish three laps to succeed.

Gamers looking for action on the war-torn streets of Shanghai this week can download Electronic Arts' cooperatively themed Army of Two: The 40th Day via the Games on Demand hub. The title was released in January and enjoyed satisfactory reception. The 40th Day follows 2007's original and picks back up with the mercenary duo Salem and Rios in China, which is in the grips of a number of inexplicable catastrophes.

Earlier this week the gaming community got its first look at the new face of Lara Croft, but for those not ready to leave the franchise's downloadable entry, new content for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is available to download today. The Hazardous Reunion Pack includes new puzzles, more combat, and a "fiery reunion with an old friend."

Also out today are new tables for Pinball FX2. The Marvel Comic Table Pack (800 MS points, or $10) bundles four new tables for the virtual pinball simulator. Tables themed around Spider-Man, Wolverine, Iron Man, and Blade are included in the pack.
