As if gamers needed a reason to play.

Well, Underworld Software is calling its game Blood Bath at Red Falls a "unique upgrade of the classic shooting gallery arcade game," and it's putting up a bounty of $500 as incentive for people to try out the game.

By downloading a copy of the game, you'll receive ten chances to win a prize in the company's sweepstakes. Those who buy a copy of the game will get 25 chances to win. Or, you can enter with a postcard. The sweepstakes runs through Sept. 1, 1998.

Underworld is boasting that it can bring fluid, full-screen video to the measliest of machines (well, 486s) thanks to its video compression scheme.

Players in the game take on the role of the sheriff of the small town of Red Falls who has to take down a "bloodthirsty busload of hard-core cons."
