BlizzCon 2010 champion Jeong 'Genius' Min Soo retires

Following a demoralizing 3-0 loss yesterday in the WCS EU qualifiers, the first ever BlizzCon champion in SC2 history has decided to retire.

With a career in which he achieved the highest highs and the lowest lows, the self-proclaimed Genius takes his leave from the competitive SC2 scene he had been a part of since its inception.

Soo tweeted the above message following a 0-3 loss to the Lithuanian protoss player Kristijonas 'Krr' Barisas in the WCS EU Challenger qualifier series. This unexpected result, combined with the lack of support from a stable organisation in the past months following the dissolution of his former team Love Your Girlfriend seems to have been enough for the former Code S finalist to decide to hang his mouse and keyboard on the wall for good as he will be chosing to complete his mandatory military service.

With him he carries a BlizzCon gold, as well as a silver from both GSL Code S and WCS EU.
