Blitzkrieg: Burning Horizon invades retail

CDV orders the first expansion pack for its WWII-themed PC RTS to stores.

Today, CDV announced that Blitzkrieg: Burning Horizon has shipped to stores. The expansion pack to 2003's Blitzkrieg features 18 brand-new missions based on the exploits of famed German General Erwin Rommel, including The Ardennes, Tripoli, Tobruk, El Alamein, Sicily, and Normandy. Also included are pivotal battles overlooked by most WWII games, such as the Fall of Singapore or the botched Narvik landing in Norway. There are 56 new units, including Chi Ha tanks and Australian infantry, and a wide range of mission objectives like airborne assaults, evacuations, and covert ops featured in the stand-alone expansion. Blitzkrieg: Burning Horizon is rated "T" for Teen and it costs $29.99. The game has been reviewed by GameSpot.
