Bleem! LLC has posted an ominous image of a tombstone on its official Web site. The caption on the tombstone reads "Bleem! April 1999-November 2001," implying that the game emulator company's days have come to an end.

Bleem! was first released in retail stores in 1999. The product lets users play games created for the Sony PlayStation on their PC. Some Bleemcast paks, which emulate PlayStation games on the Sega Dreamcast, have also been released. Bleem! has been engaged in a series of lawsuits with Sony since before the product's initial release. According to Bleem! president David Herpolsheimer, the company's closure was due primarily to the overwhelming legal costs of the ongoing lawsuits.
