Black Ops II 'Revolution' DLC revealed

First downloadable expansion for latest Call of Duty reportedly will include four traditional maps, one zombie environment, and new weapon.

The first expansion for Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be titled "Revolution." That's according to leaked promotional material for the content, posted at All Games Beta.

According to the poster, the Revolution downloadable content will include four multiplayer maps (Hydro, Grind, Downhill, and Mirage), as well as a zombie map called Rise.

In addition to the new killing spaces, the Revolution DLC will also reportedly add a new weapon called the Peacekeeper submachine gun.

Activision has not announced the Revolution DLC, and a representative was not immediately available to comment.

If the Revolution DLC is in fact Black Ops II's first expansion, it will be the first of four planned add-ons for the game. These are included with the $50 Black Ops II DLC season pass. All DLC for Black Ops II will arrive first on the Xbox 360, with subsequent releases on other platforms.

This "traditional maps" BS is just shameful, even for Activision standards.  But hey... as long as people keep paying for it...

I thought the new zombie environments were going to be more Tranzit levels, green run just being the first...

1) If you don't like the DLC just don't buy it. 2) Anyone who says they can't afford to buy it or thinks it's expensive is full of it. Think about your daily expenses on snacks and food and see how much that comes out to.. If you can't come up with $15 then there is something wrong with you.

Maps should be free, i wouldn't mind paying small amounts for individual guns for say 500 points or 5$

I can honestly say, I have never paid for a single Call of Duty Map Pack or Zombie mode. Although I enjoy the simplistic, arcade shooter that is Multiplayer with a group of my friends, I do not see myself playing the game for more than eight months or so. Although Black Ops 2 is the most enjoyable CoD I have played since MW2 days, I will not justify an extra $50 on a Season Pass that is for additional maps and a new weapon. I did that for Gears of War 3, and I some-what regret that decision. Although, it did come w/ a Story, Weapon Skins, Characters, and Maps. I don't mind buying DLC if it's relatively cheap, such as RE6's Mercenary Maps for $1, or if it's story-based DLC. But additional weapons (FFXIII-2, for example), maps, and MAYBE costumes (depending on the cost of the costumes)? I just deem that as a waste of money. To each their own, I suppose.

I skipped MW3 because I didn't really enjoy MW2 even though it had some cool parts in it.  I think just sticking to the every other year puchase from Treyarch is how I will go from now on because I have really enjoyed both black ops games and world at war as well.  I would enjoy them more if I was rich enough to afford the extra maps and things but I can never bring myself to pay that much money for no story advance or anything.  I mean damn a whole expansion for Dark Souls is the same price as 4 multiplayer maps which I would only be able to play when voted enough by the lobby players.  No thanks.

Im still amazed how Activision is still.... I dont even have the words to describe it..Bottom line, COD sucks, Battlefield 3 rocks.

I will never understand why people buy this shit.  And by people I mean the parents of these 6-12 year olds who cry when they don't get the latest COD.

A revolution, sickeningly-enough, is what games like this need and will never get...Too few minds return from the chains, horror and torture of M-content...

what's sad is that i'm serioulsy thinking of getting the season pass, just because i recently recieved a $50 PSN gift card and because the zombies mode in this game is fraking amazing

Meanwhile I have over 2000 community-made maps in Counter Strike. Not even counting other games like Team Fortress 2, Portal series, Left 4 dead, etc.

But I guess that's cool for console kids. Brb, going to play a modded server with 64 players in full HD at 120fps.

Still surprised at how much of a war there is between BF and COD players

I played BF3 relentlessly, every map pack so far (Thought the Armored Kill one was one of the best expansions I've ever played for a fps), switched over to CODBO for a while...  prestiged 3 times, probably 3+ days of actual play time... now I'm back to Battlefield 3 again.

After playing both games it's really just for two different gamers.

COD = run and gun, smoother  frame rates, crisper graphics...

BF3 = more all out war, realism, environment, setup and strategy...

Think both were good in their own right.

Personally, in the mood for BF3's war feel at the moment.  Don't think I'll be picking up this season pass for CODBO as I still have the last BF patch to look forward to and then it's almost time for GTA!

 @x_hunter00

 That may be the fact for most people but you can not say that about all.  It's called working a commission only job with a wife and a 2 year old struggling to make it by with pre-owned or discounted video games being the best way to escape from a stressful reality for an hour or so every other day so yes $15 can be a lot for some people. I do agree to a point though about most people that do complain about that, but to some there is a different backstory.

@jasongm

MS points are incremented so that 400 points would be equivalent to $5. So it would be more than $5... Though even $5 for one gun would be ridiculous.

 @Dalkanium

 Right. Because it's not like Ea and Dice did the exact same thing with BF3... Both franchises have turned into horrible and apthetic excuses of good games.

 @Dalkanium lol numbers dont lie...and  while BF3 is good, it aint as fun as Blops2....not even close....and i have both :P

 @Martyr77 i can understand ur concern for this game and for halo atleast but i dont think community made free maps in bf3 wud be as good as the dice made maps becus of the destruction and plain simply better graphics

smoother frame rates because its the same old outdated engine running at a very low rez.  the graphics are not crisper imo.. maybe on console but on PC where BF belongs, it really makes cod show its age.

 @timdogg42069 It doesn't matter if you are dirt poor or the richest man in the world, the DLC are completely optional. No one complains about the cost Ferrari's because it is not mandatory to have one.  If you can buy one that's great but if you can't, then whatever.

 @The-FIB  @Dalkanium BF3 not fun? LOL, stunning visuals,awesome vehicle aspects that proccur LOTS of fun , Guns that actually sound/feel real,64p warfare with all kind of stuff happening all around you,please tell me how your brainless fucking BS where all you have to do is hold the fucking left mouse button and press a single button whenever you unlock one of those boring killstreak gadgets any fun

 @The-FIB  Not as fun as bloopers2 ? Really ? If you play alone in battlefield 3 and dont know how to play yeah I believe its not fun.

 @Zero_Echo exactly...it aint bad if you plan to keep playing.

@YoungPrinceT yup...i love this game...not because is perfect and or a great out of this world game...but it is fun to me...and since i am paying for it, thats all that matters :)

jorge69696

 @RavageCobra You can get a similar PC for 500$. That's less than what kids pay for their xbox, $60 games, xbox live, overpriced hard drives or new consoles, since they break too because of RROD.

 @GamerOuTLaWz  @The-FIB  @Dalkanium

from a tech standpoint cod doesnt even come close to bf3.  NOT EVEN CLOSE. People go back and look at screen shots/gameplay of the first Mw, then look at screenshots or gameplay from 2142 and bf2.. there's no comparison.  BF has been light years ahead of cod since the original Mw came out.

Dalkanium

 @KingMoorman  @Zero_Echo  Im not a fanboy, if I was a fanboy I would still buy BF3 even if it was crap, THATS what a fanboy is. Thats what most of cod players are today

KingMoorman

 @Zero_Echo But doesnt this whole comment make you a BF3 fanboy? Thus no better than him?

jorge69696
jorge69696

 @RavageCobra Exactly. A kid doesn't have money or knowledge to build a pc. But an adult should.

If someone can't dedicate 2 hours to learn about pc gaming and how to build one (extremely easy too), it's fine, but don't assume the console is a better choice.

Same with people asking for advice, you show them the best option and they chose something else and fuck up. Then complain and try to blame somebody else or try to justify it and convince everyone they are right.

This is a global problem and it is seen A LOT in the States. No one wants to take responsibility about their actions.

Violent kids? Blame video games. Bad grades? Blame the teacher. Fat kid? Blame genetics or say it is ok and embrace it. Etc.

Sorry, got a bit into it.

RavageCobra
RavageCobra

 @jorge69696 Another thing is that not a lot of people have the time or dedication it requires putting a PC together, and easier to go with consoles as another thing.

It all boils down to money, time, dedication, and effort you're willing to put into gaming. Not everyone has all those qualities.
