Black Ops II November US sales hit 7.5 million
NPD data reveals sales figures for latest Call of Duty; Halo 4 sells 3.2 million, Assassin's Creed III shifts 2.9 million.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II sold 7.5 million copies in the United States during November, according to NPD data provided to GameSpot. The game launched on November 13, and the group's tracking period ended November 24, meaning it tallied the figure in 11 days.
Halo 4 was November's second best-selling game and sold 3.2 million copies during November, according to the data. Microsoft announced this week that the entire Halo series has reached a sales milestone of 50 million units worldwide.
Another top performer for the month was Assassin's Creed III, which sold an estimated 2.9 million units during November. Electronic Arts' new racing game Need for Speed Most Wanted also landed on the month's top 10 chart, selling 509,000 units.
Overall, November total retail sales dropped 11 percent to $2.55 billion.
