It's a busy week on Xbox Live, as the first batch of post release content for Activision megablockbuster Call of Duty: Black Ops is available alongside a demo for EA Sports' first M-rated Fight Night title, as well as the latest Bionic Commando title on XBLA.
First out of the gate this week is the First Strike ($15) downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops. The content packs in four new multiplayer environments ranging in locale from the Berlin Wall in Germany to a North American hockey rink. The add-on also bundles one environment for the game's zombie mode dubbed Ascension.
Gamers who prefer hand-to-hand combat can now download a demo for EA Sports' Fight Night Champion. The first M-rated title in the franchise's history, the demo for Champion lets players fight as Mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali, Manny Pacquiao, and Miguel Cotto in three-round fights. The demo also includes online play, but only for the next two weeks. The game itself is due out on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 1.
Arriving on the Xbox Live Arcade download space tomorrow will be Capcom's Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 ($15). The title is a direct sequel to 2008's well-received reboot of Capcom's 8-bit platforming franchise. The game picks back up with Spencer, who this time is sent after General Sabio. To thwart Sabio's technologically empowered attack on humanity, Spencer will again make use of the grappling hook affixed to his arm.
Switching to the Games on Demand hub, Microsoft added Capcom's Dark Void ($20) to the download space today. The action adventure game thrusts players into a world bustling with a hostile alien race known as The Watchers, where players will fight both in midair and on the ground.
