Bit.Trip Fate sealed October 25

Gaijin Games has established quite the track record with its Bit.Trip line of downloadable WiiWare games. Having begun life as a psychedelic rhythm game, the most recent installment, Bit.Trip Runner evolved to incorporate pressure-based platforming, a change that resulted in rave reviews.

Today, Gaijin and publisher Aksys Games returned with news on the studio's latest effort, announcing Bit.Trip Fate will arrive for WiiWare in North America on October 25. Gaijin has yet to announce a European launch for the title, noting on its official Web site that it should arrive "very soon."

Bit.Trip Fate sees the return of CommanderVideo, the black-shaded blockish hero of Bit.Trip Runner fame. This time out, CommanderVideo finds himself enmeshed in an on-rails side-scrolling shooter. With the help of his companions Junior Melchkin, CommandgirlVideo, and others, CommanderVideo attempts to save the world from becoming a technological wasteland.

In the single-player campaign, gamers control CommanderVideo's movements with the use of the Wii's Nunchuk. Shooting is handled in point-and-fire fashion using the Wii Remote. The game also features a co-op mode, where a friend can help control CommanderVideo's movements.

Gaijin Games did not provide pricing information for Bit.Trip Fate.
