BioWare has launched a new Mass Effect 3 survey asking the community to weigh in on the game's multiplayer component. The survey gauges feedback regarding layout, difficulty, and overall atmosphere for nineteen Firebase maps.
The survey is open for one week.
Mass Effect 3 was the first entry in BioWare's spacebound role-playing game series to include a multiplayer component after the original Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 were single-player-only affairs.
so i took the survay and sry to say it didnt realy ask any impotrant questions, all it askes is if you liked each particular map or not...... i dosent ask if you thought it could use anything new? holy crap guys you cant posably making a near identical multiplayer component for your next game are you? you cant be that stupid.....
Sigh... It's sad listening to all these people that have never even played ME3 MP, but still bitch and moan about it, when it was actually very well done, very well supported and also brought new players to the SP side of ME3. But noooo, every 'rpg' fan only harps on and on (and on) about the 'dumbed' down elements, MP affecting SP (even though the SP of ME3 is by far the longest in the trilogy), and a lot of other relatively unnecessary (usually mako related) drivel.
The real problems with ME3 are all story related, the MP was a positive imho and didn't hamper the single player in anyway except readiness, which in itself hardly affects the crapyness of the endings or the actual in game content.
Used the link, it asks for feedback on multiplayer maps not on the multiplayer component. If it had been truly separate and not required for the SP game as first stated it would have been find as it could be ignored. As it reduces the galactic readiness unless it is played the feature penalizes players that don't want it.
I love all the multiplayer references in the Citadel DLC. The two best ones are the turian sentinel that detonates tech shield for all occasions (in the arcade) and the conversation between the human infiltrator woman and the vorcha soldier (between the apartment entrance and the arcade).
Feedback? What is a single player RPG developer doing releasing a game that has abandoned 90% of it's RPG elements in favor of feeding the already over-saturated shooter genre and tacking a subpar multiplayer component onto the final game in a trilogy that did amazingly well without it.
Feedback? Mass Effect 4 should drop all notions of having multiplayer and opt for strengthening the single-player experience. If they really want you to play with your friend in this game, enhance squads to 4 instead of 3 and add 2-player co-op where each player has control of 1 additional squadmate. Co-op campaign in the furthest this series should go.
it should have offline MP too and split-screen kinda like horde mode.. i'm a ps3 user and my friends said horde mode was fun.. plus if it could have been fun saving the galaxy splitscreen (MP/local) but for my feedback it's fun and intense..
I like the MP in the game, but I wanted Bioware to expand on it. I would have loved to see them have side stories like Uncharted 3 did with their multiplayer. Killing waves of enemies is fun in the game and getting new powers as well as unlocking characters is great. I wanted to see even more modes and not just the ones we have while killing waves of enemies. The MP in the game is something I can actually play again and again. I can't say the same for the SP part of the game.
I didn't care for the MP. I wanted an experience similar to the SP gameplay where you and your squad travel through the map while compleing objectives. A circular map where you do nothing but kill respawns that appear out of thin air is a pointless bore. Plus I hate having to deal with all the things ME 3 did wrong such as enemies that can one shot kill you, static health bars, powers that only affect mobs without shields or armor on, powers that share a global cooldown, finite ammo, super weak player shields, having ammo and other equipment pieces be a one time use consumeable.
@Afonsop Since they were gathering gameplay data for Mass Effect 2. They do this for Dragon Age and ME3 as well. Bioware devs also hang around various message boards (if the Citadel DLC is any indication, other than BSN they also post at Something Awful, where Mass Effect is one of the most popular topics of discussions).
I know... I'm amazed at the number of retards and halfwits who insist on multiplayer in everything... next they'll be asking for co-op in Pacman or the chance to player Metal Gear with a squad of 15 mates. Not one single person ever thought, while playing the well known RPG Mass Effect, "what this RPG needs is a multiplayer arena style shooter" to make it complete.
@Shantmaster_K@Afonsop I'm inclined to believe otherwise, with day one paid DLC, an MP component that used to be essential for obtaining the "best" ending, non-disclosure of market research (indicating that they're likely lying about the results) and more. That's not caring, that's statutory rape of the mass's wallets.
@Shantmaster_K@Afonsop Then why do they always do the opposite of what fans want like a MMO Star Wars over KotOR 3, adding MP horde mode to Mass Effect, Dragon Age 2, day one DLC, and that ending mess. Not to mention the outright lies to everyone. So if they are listening it is only to EA and how to milk your wallet, not on how to make their games better.
Ever since the weekend challenges finnished , the number off kill hogs and crappy players have seem to increase.I,ve given up playing MP for the moment as I,ve finnished all the set challenges, no new maps and no weekend challenges to keep it interesting anymore.
Luckly I'm ranked up enough to let the jerks die and solo the wave or game on my own. Check out my N7 profile "Ink-111" on PC .(It's set for public view ) .Hope they get some new maps and challenges soon.
Unfortunately more often than not, these "Kill Hogs," are there in almost every map. I play often with a friend and we have both noticed this...
There is ALWAYS one whom thinks he is Rambo, who consistently goes off and leaves the objectives for the other three to do. Then in later waves when fighting a Scion or whatever, he/she will go down. Which will leave us struggling to finish the objective and therefore the wave too...?
ME3 however, you are meant to play as a team and do the objectives together. If you are only out for yourself, then you're doomed to failure and everyone gets less for completing the objectives as a result.
This is one of the reasons, why I like ME3 multiplayer. It is a team mission, not just...
KILL KILL KILL!
Then everybody's scores get totalled up and split four ways... Everybody gets the same. So it's just tough sh!te to all the KILL HOGS out there! lol
