Even though it was released over a year ago, BioShock is still making headlines. Two weeks ago, the first trailer for its sequel, BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams, was released alongside the PlayStation 3 edition of the game. This week, 2K Games also dated and price the first add-on pack to this latest version, which received the same critical plaudits as its Xbox 360 and PC predecessors in 2007.

Exclusive to the PS3, the add-on Game content will be available only via the PlayStation Network starting November 20. Costing $9.99, it will add three multiplayer-map-like "Challenge Rooms" to the single-player only game, each presenting a timed mini-scenario unrelated to the game's main plotline. The rooms will also take place in all-new areas of Rapture, the undersea utopia-gone-horribly-wrong where the game is set.

Titled "A Shocking Turn of Events," the first challenge room tasks players with rescuing one of the genetically altered girls known as Little Sisters from atop a Ferris Wheel bereft of power. The second, "The I in Team," pits players against one of the hulking Big Daddy mutants in a room filled with traps--and only a few weak weapons. The final room, "Worlds of Hurt," drops players in an eight-room complex packed with Big Daddies and genetically altered Splicers which must be eliminated.
