According to an AP report, on Thursday the Washington state senate approved a bill that would fine retailers $500 for selling or renting games that depict violence against police officers to minors. The bill was passed by the state's house last month and is expected to be signed into law by the governor. The IDSA (Interactive Digital Software Association) responded to the news by saying that the bill is essentially a form of censorship.
