Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates is more interested in Kinect Sports than he is Halo, the 58-year-old tech veteran said during a recent Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA).

"I am not a huge gamer. My son knows a LOT more than I do about what is cool on Xbox," Gates said. "I played Halo but the sports games that the whole family can use are the things I use the most. I threw the javelin very very far!"

That was the only gaming-focused news nugget Gates revealed during the AMA. He declined to answer inevitable "Xbox One vs. PS4" question and he also did not give his thoughts on investors' suggestion that Microsoft should sell its Xbox business.

Elsewhere in the AMA, Gates--one of the wealthiest individuals in the world--said he does the dishes after dinner every night. "Other people volunteer, but I like the way I do it," he said.

When Microsoft named Satya Nadella its new CEO last week, Gates said goodbye to his position as Chairman of the Board. He now holds the position of Founder and Technology Advisor at Microsoft, where he will assist in the future direction of the company's products.

Gates helped launch the original Xbox and even appeared on-stage at various events to promote Microsoft's then-unproven venture into the console gaming space.
