Having led his team to a Super Bowl championship against the Seattle Seahawks in January, Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher is entitled to reap some rewards for his hard work. One such reward came today as EA Sports announced that Cowher's mug would grace the cover of its inaugural football-management sim, NFL Head Coach, on the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC.

In his 14-year stint as the Steelers' head coach (the longest current tenure of any NFL coach) Cowher has been named the Associated Press' NFL Coach of the Year once, has taken his team to the post-season 10 times, won nine division titles, and made it to two Super Bowls, winning the last one.

Due in stores June 20, NFL Head Coach lets players call the shots, taking control of every facet of the coaching position, pushing pencils, running practices, and donning the headset each Sunday. EA Sports is looking to make the game more accessible than traditional management sims by using 3D graphics and a user-friendly interface. The game is being developed by EA Tiburon, the studio behind the Madden and NFL Street series.
