Big City Games has today announced that it has secured the North American publishing rights to Air Raid: This Is Not a Drill! The game, which was developed by Made by Kiddies, sees players assuming the role of a gunner on the bow of a World War II battleship reminiscent of the famed USS Missouri. Using a 40mm antiaircraft fixed deck gun, players are challenged to shoot down waves of enemy planes as they attempt to sink the ship. The game consists of 99 levels in total, and as players progress they'll be awarded medals for successfully shooting down increasingly aggressive and evasive enemies.

"Air Raid engages players to such a degree that they are able to experience the gameplay transcending the limitations of the screen," said Christopher Lee, executive producer for Made by Kiddies. "We are excited to join Big City Games in its continued effort to bring unique and addictive products to the PC market, and are confident that this is not the last time the game industry will hear of our successful collaboration."

Air Raid: This Is Not a Drill! was originally released as a coin-op last year and is currently scheduled for release on the PC before the end of June. The PC version of the game will allow up to six players to defend a single battleship on a LAN. We'll bring you more information on the game as soon as it becomes available.
