Beam Breakers coming in 2002

Fishtank announces that its upcoming sci-fi racing game is scheduled for release early next year.

Fishtank Interactive announced today that it will publish the upcoming sci-fi racing game Beam Breakers in early 2002. The game is set in a futuristic New York City, and players race a variety of high-speed flying vehicles through 3D environments.

The game features an advanced 3D physics engine that supports realistic damage modeling. It includes more than 30 vehicles with different attributes, a detailed game environment complete with skyscrapers, moving traffic, and authentic landmarks, and five different factions.

Beam Breakers is in development at Similis Software, and it is scheduled for release in early 2002. For more information, read our in-depth preview of the game.
