Battlefield 4 DLC pays homage to Titan mode
Battlefield 4 Naval Strike DLC to feature new weapons, gadgets, and game mode.
The new upcoming Naval Strike downloadable content pack for Battlefield 4 will include a host of new maps, weapons, assignments, and the Carrier Assault mode, which pays tribute to the Titan mode introduced in 2006's Battlefield 2142.
The original mode featured two teams whose sole objective was to destroy the opposing team's warship, named a Titan. According to the official announcement, the new Carrier Assault mode in Battlefield 4 serves as a "re-imagining" of the Titan mode in Battlefield 2142.
The Naval Strike DLC pack will also include four new multiplayer maps, five new weapons, two gadgets, and a new hovercraft vehicle that can traverse both land and water. Users who purchase a Battlefield 4 Premium membership will gain two weeks of early access to the Naval Strike DLC pack, which is currently slotted for release in Q2, 2014.
Last year, EA launched two Battlefield 4 DLC packs, Second Assault and China Rising. At present, three more DLC packs have been confirmed to follow. More recently, EA announced its plans to roll out a multi-platform patch that would allegedly contain a number of game fixes for Battlefield 4.
