Battlefield 1 Directors Making Movie About Female Black Ops Assassin

The cinematic director's of this month World War I shooter Battlefield 1 are making an action movie, according to a new report.

Deadline reports that Marcus Kryler and Fredrik Akerstrom are directing a movie called Hummingbird, which is described as an "action-thriller" similar to John Wick and Lucy. The story follows a female black ops assassin who "discovers she’s more than just a hired gun but an entirely new breed of weapon."

There is no word yet on who might star in Hummingbird, when shooting will begin, or when the film will come out. It's in production at Fundamental Films, which is also behind the Ethan Hawke movie 24 Hours to Live and the Keanu Reeves film Replicas.

Kryler and Akerstrom aren't completely new to film, as they made a short film called Reset, which came out in 2015. Check out the movie above. Go to Deadline to get the full report on Hummingbird.

As for Battlefield 1, it came out on October 21 behind strong reviews, including a 9/10 from GameSpot.
