Battleborn Gets Tie-In Mobile Game, "Battleborn Tap"

Borderlands developer Gearbox Software today launched its next game, Battleborn, but that's not the only game in the series out now. 2K Games today announced and launched Battleborn Tap, a free-to-play game where you will "tap your way to victory."

In Battleborn Tap, players will take on "waves of enemies and menacing bosses." As you progress, you will unlock new arenas and bring more heroes into your roster.

More from the press release follows:

"Grow and customize those heroes by collecting and spending gold shards to upgrade your heroes' skills and abilities to give your squad the best fighting chance against increasingly difficult waves of enemies. Find and equip gear just like in the console version of Battleborn to help boost your heroes' stats and make them even more powerful."

You can also unlock "exclusive" rewards for the main Battleborn game by playing Tap, though these were not specified. Additionally, everyone who download Battleborn Tap and links a SHiFT account will receive the gold Orendi skin that can be redeemed in the console or PC version of Battleborn.
