Battier becomes March Madness spokesperson

Electronic Arts has announced that former Duke forward Shane Battier will serve as the official cover athlete for NCAA March Madness 2002, its upcoming PlayStation 2 game. This first incarnation of EA's college hoops series on the PS2 console will be released in January of next year. Developed by EA Canada, which also works on the NBA Live series, March Madness 2002 will feature team-specific chants and cheers, 138 NCAA teams, and realistic animations.
