Henry Cavill, who plays Superman in this month's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, has spoken up to discuss the money he makes from his movie roles. He says in a new interview that he didn't become an actor for the art of it alone. He's making good money and enjoying life.

"I'm slightly wary of saying this, because it can be frowned upon, certainly by members of my community and people outside my community," he told Man of the World magazine (via EW). "But I'm not just doing this for the art. The money's fantastic and that's something which I deem--and again, it is frowned upon--very important."

In discussing how he spends his earnings, Cavill said, "You've got to enjoy life!" He says he spends his money on items for himself, as well as friends and family.

"When I'm making money I'm spending it on nice stuff, whether that be lavish holidays for me and my friends or just seeing something and going in a shop and saying, 'Yeah, I want that for the house, I'm buying it,'" he said. "Spending money on my friends, buying dinner for everyone, drinks for everyone, it's a nice place to be, and I like people to feel cared for."

Another way Cavill spends his money is on parties. He skipped college to pursue acting--and now, flush with cash, he's making up for lost time.

"I didn't get to mess about and be a university kid, but I get to mess about now," he said. "And I've actually got money to spend on nice places, rather than having to go to grotty pubs that stink of piss."

Cavill went on to say he understands some may perceive his comments about money to be overly boastful, but he also doesn't want to fly economy class to New Zealand. So...

"People will be calling me a c— as they're reading this, but travel's great as long as you're going first class," he said. "I mean, traveling to New Zealand in economy, it sucks. Especially if you're over six feet. But first class? I'm not going to ever pretend to be coy about that. I love it."

Dawn of Justice comes to theaters on March 25.
