TOKYO--Tri-Crescendo, one of the studios that contributed to the GameCube role-playing game Baten Kaitos, has announced its next project, a fantasy RPG. The company posted an announcement of the new game on its Web site, along with a large teaser illustration.

The company also announced that it is out to hire additional staff for the project, including programmers, 3D artists, producers, and sound engineers. Tri-Crescendo has yet to announce the new game's title, nor has it revealed which consoles the game will be developed for.

Tri-Crescendo was established in 1992 by Hiroya Hatsushiba, a former member of Tri-Ace. The company has a reputation as a music production studio; in that capacity it collaborated with Tri-Ace on the Star Ocean franchise and Radiata Stories. In November of 2004, the company first established its reputation as a game development studio with the release of Baten Kaitos for the GameCube.
