Gundam may be the best-known mech series to come out of Bandai, but it's certainly not the only one. Before the publisher announced its merger with Namco last year, it unveiled another mech series with Eureka Seven Vol. 1: The New Wave for the PlayStation 2. Today, Namco Bandai America announced that the game would be making the trip across the Pacific and landing in North American stores this fall.

Eureka Seven puts gamers in control of both trainee pilot Sumner Sturgeon and an array of customizable, transformable fighting robots called Light Finding Operations (LFOs). With the help of LFOs, Sturgeon will fly (or sky surf) the unfriendly skies, engaging other mechs in battle. The game was developed in conjunction with an anime series and an accompanying manga in Shonen Ace.
