It's Friday, which means another round of Virtual Console downloads becomes available for European Wii owners. First up this week is Balloon Fight, an arcade game originally released in 1984 and ported to the Nintendo Entertainment System in Europe in 1987. Players control a daredevil fighter with balloons on his back, and battle other enemies by popping the balloons on their backs to make them fall to the ground. There is also a two-player mode with both cooperative and competitive gameplay, and a survival game called Balloon Trip.

Next up is Adventures of Lolo, an NES game originally released in Europe in 1991. Taking control of the titular Prince Lolo, players are tasked with rescuing his beloved Princess Lala by solving a series of maze puzzles.

The final game available this week is former TurboGrafx-16 release Dead Moon, a side-scrolling action shooter from 1991. Gamers pilot a spaceship in a quest to thwart an alien invasion of planet Earth. Featuring six levels each with various bosses, Dead Moon lets gamers even the odds by upgrading their weapons and ships.

Balloon Fight and Adventures of Lolo are available for download for 500 Wii points (approximately £3.50), and Dead Moon for 600 Wii points (£4.20).
