Moscow-based Akella has today released new information on Axle Rage for the PC and PlayStation 2. Set in the postapocalyptic megalopolis of Nailsdale, Axle Rage is a third-person action game that will see players assuming the titular role of "No Dice," a biker gang member who becomes embroiled in a series of strange events that are connected to the widespread "miro" drug and its origins.

Much of the gameplay in Axle Rage will revolve around motorcycle combat, and the game will feature an uncomplicated control system that makes it easy for players to synchronize their speeds with and lock-on to enemies. As players explore the megalopolis, they'll also engage in combat on foot by using hand-to-hand combos, special moves, melee weapons, and firearms.

Axle Rage is currently scheduled for release toward the end of 2004. We'll bring you more information as soon as it becomes available.
