Aussie game charts: March 10-March 16

Army of Two fights its way to the top.

Army of Two's storyline and PMC themes may be raising a few eyebrows, but that hasn't stopped Aussie gamers from snapping it up during its first week of sale. The Xbox 360 version of the game has rocketed to the number one position overall, knocking last week's big cheese Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for the PlayStation 2 off its perch, and saw it falling all the way to seventh spot. The PlayStation 3 version of Army of Two sits at number three overall, according to data trackers GfK Australia.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games on the Nintendo DS has retained its second place position from last week, while the Wii version of the game hurdled two places upward to finish at number six. In other Wii news, Super Mario Galaxy has reappeared in the overall Australian game charts this week at number four after dropping off the sales radar for several weeks. New comer for the week, MX vs. ATV Untamed for PlayStation 2 has made its debut in ninth position. The Simpsons game for the Nintendo DS brought up the rear, sneaking into 10th place.

Despite having a strong first-place debut on the PlayStation Portable charts, Patapon this week failed to maintain its momentum and has spent its second week of sale at number six.

JiminydaKricet: I remind you halo 1 was at the top of the list 3 years after it came out.

It's kinda sad not to see a single PC game on full priced list. It's even worse that The Sims 2 takes up half of the PC list.
