Aussie game charts: July 30-August 5

Mario continues his reign over the charts down under.

Mario Party 8 continues to lead Australian game charts according to data trackers GfK Australia, with the Wii title enjoying its second week in a row at the number one position.

The recently released Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s has debuted in the charts at number two for the week of July 30-August 5. The popular PlayStation 3 racing game MotorStorm has brought the console back into the overall game charts, taking out third position. Two weeks after its initial release, EA's Rugby 08 has made it into the overall charts in seventh spot.

In other chart news, FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage has come in at number four on the Xbox 360 charts, though Gears of War remains at number one.
