Aussie game charts: August 27-September 2

BioShock maintains its hold over the Australian game charts.

BioShock for the Xbox 360 continued its reign over Aussie gamers this week, taking the top position in the overall game charts for the second week in a row, according to data trackers GfK Australia. However, the PC version fell a spot from last week's position to be number five in the latest charts.

SingStar '90s for the PlayStation 2 remains in second place in the overall charts, and Brain Training from Dr Kawashima: How Old Is Your Brain? moved up to third. Pokémon Diamond for the Nintendo DS has taken out the sixth position, while Pokémon Pearl climbed up a spot to eighth. Mario Party 8 remains unchanged from the previous week staying in the seventh spot. World of Warcraft finished the week again in the 10th position.

Wow! I can't believe Singstar is selling so well!

Lets hope that more games hold Singstar from regaining top spot.

Bioshock isn't surprising. i really wonder why the pc version is down though? probably because you need a really good computer. No ps3 games made the top ten though. today i was again wondering if i made the wrong choice shoosing the wii or 360 because the ps3 might actually be close the success of the ps2 in the far future because developers (ubisoft) seem to be making more games for it because they are being paid to. Thise article just reminded me that i made the right choices. and the 360 gets better versions of games anyways.

@Pete5506 - are you a bot? I think most of your postings just say "cool" about everything

Finally a worthy title on the top.

:| nintendogs is back on the DS top10 :D way to go BioShock!!

Woah, Bioshock wins!

Bioshock rightly deserves it. Go 360!

top 10 wii of duty 4?????? anyway i have bioshock its really aweasome it deserves this

wow didnt think bioshock would hold that spot. glad I was wrong. where are the ps3 titles in the top 10? I see a few ps2 one's but no ps3. ah well still getting one.

Go Bioshock, Xbox360, and the Aussies

Yaya :D, BioShock absolutely deserves to sell great! :)

BioShock, Rainbow Six, Gears of War, Ghost Recon... all in yer top 10. Yeah... that's about right. You Aussie's seem to have good heads on your shoulders. ;P (Big fan of your country, by the way. xP) As great as BioShock is, you all need to get Vegas so I have people to hunt with in the early hours of the morning. =P

Hmm...I better try Bioshock to see whats that like, My brother can't wait for the PC version of Gears of War and I should try C&C for once...Like Generals... At ;east we have this selling chart in this country, god bless Gamespot!

Good to see us Aussies buying something thats not a DS game I feel less embarrassment and rightly so Bioshock is awesome.

@themovi3nut. Yeah its the irony of pc gaming, most gamers will spend a couple of grand on a pc to play games but be too stingy to actually buy games for it. And so the demise of pc gaming continues...

DrumInfected - that list can't tell you that people can always download games from torrent sites, which is stupid because of bandwith limits

Looks like more people have Bioshock for 360 than PC's.

note: not a single PS3 game is in the top games

Go BioShock!!!! Good to see that the revolutionary games we have been demanding arent going ignored commercially.

Maybe the reports of the 360's demise in Australia were a bit premature.
