AU Shippin' Out May 2-6: Virtua Tennis 4

Sega takes its long-running tennis franchise into the motion-controlled arena for the first time.

Sega heads back to the Astroturf this week with the release of Virtua Tennis 4. Arguably the biggest differentiator between this version of Virtua Tennis and the latest Top Spin game is the decision by Sega to support all of the major motion platforms: Kinect, Move, and MotionPlus. Like Wii Sports, the game will control movement of the avatar onscreen, while the player handles swinging the racquet. Aussie tennis fans will be particularly pleased to note that Patrick Rafter made it into the roster amongst the 21 other tennis personalities. Virtua Tennis 4 will be released this Thursday on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii, with the PC version to follow later on in the year.

Other releases this week include Sniper: Ghost Warrior on the PlayStation 3, Trainz Simulator 12, Zumba Fitness, and Men of War: Assault Squad.

While this week is fairly quiet, the next few weeks will see the release of several highly anticipated titles like Brink, L.A. Noire., and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
