It's a quiet week on the Australian game release front, with only four major titles hitting stores. Kicking things off is the second stand-alone expansion to the Company of Heroes series, Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor. The WWII real-time strategy game has already proven to be one of the most successful in recent years, and this second expansion is set to continue that trend with more action, less management, and the inclusion of new campaigns, units, and maps. One thing to look out for is the new multiplayer mode--Operations--which includes a multiplayer tank deathmatch as well as two units to each of the four armies in the game. Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor is out April 9.

The second big title of the week is The Godfather II, a mix of sandbox action and strategic resource management that lets you customise your own mobster and move through the ranks to build your own wing of the Corleone organised-crime family. The key to the game is thinking like a don, which means keeping a wary eye on your organisations and family, as well as successfully taking over and managing various rackets and crime rings. You can do this via a feature called the Don's View, a screen which lays out the entire city in a fully movable 3D map, with details on all of the businesses, people of interest, and missions up for the taking. The Godfather II is also out April 9.
