The Year-One Survival Edition will include the new survivor Gurubani Kaur, an exclusive unlockable character for previous State of Decay Xbox 360/PC
owners. Players who already own State of Decay on Xbox 360 and/or PC will also be eligible for a 33% discount on the digital version of State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition until June 30.

State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition features new achievements, offering a total of 1500 Gamerscore to collect. Additionally, the Year-One Survival Edition will come with new monthly timed challenges that players can unlock either by themselves or with the community. Microsoft adds that completing these challenges will unlock secret items in the game. The game was recently reviewed on GameSpot, praised for its ability to create a sense of community but criticized for its game-breaking bugs.
