Sony Computer Entertainment America will be exhibiting ATV Offroad Fury 3 at this year's E3. The game is the third installment in the free-form offroad racing series from Rainbow Studios. As the title suggests, you'll be riding all-terrain vehicles through 30 different offroad environments, ranging from snow and dirt to mud, ice, water, and grass. A total of 24 customizable ATVs will be included in the game. You'll not only be able to change your ride's appearance with designs and logos but also tweak your vehicle's performance by swapping out tires and changing gear ratios. But the game isn't just about racing and getting dirty. As in the previous installments, tricks will play a role in ATV Offroad Fury 3, and the game will include 34 different freestyle ones, which include combos and linkers.

You'll be able to race from both first- and third-person perspectives in a variety of game modes ranging from standard race, lap attack, and freestyle, to career mode. Eight different minigames, like soccer and king of the hill, will also be included. Short-track races, one-day events, and Olympic championships will round out the game's myriad modes. On the multiplayer side, ATV Offroad Fury 3 will be playable for up to four players on one console (using a multitap accessory) or six players online. A special online scoring system will keep track of event data for both individual players and clans. Voice chat using USB headsets will also be supported for online play.

ATV Offroad Fury 3 is scheduled to ship in November for the PlayStation 2. GameSpot will provide more information on ATV Offroad Fury 3 as it becomes available.
