ATI ships new AGP versions of Radeon X800 series cards
The X800 XL and X850 XT let AGP users experience PCI-Express-quality graphics.
ATI Technologies today announced that it has shipped the latest versions of its Radeon X800 XL and X850 XT graphics cards for AGP-compatible computers. Previous Radeon X800 XL and X850 XT cards were compatible only with the more recently introduced PCI Express systems. The new AGP-compatible cards feature ATI's new PCI Express to AGP bridge chip and give gamers who haven't upgraded their AGP systems two new high-end Radeon video card options.
