Assassin's Creed Revelations stalking in November

Ubisoft's murderous action adventure will conclude Ezio's storyline on 360, PS3, PC this fall; E3 appearance a lock.

It's been seven days since Ubisoft began ramping up its teaser campaign for the fourth installment in its 28 million-unit-selling Assassin's Creed franchise, and today came the payoff. This morning, the publisher officially announced Assassin's Creed Revelations, saying the game will arrive for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC this November.

After Revelations, Ezio can't go back to Constantinople (which is no one's business but the Turks).

Calling it "the final chapter of the Ezio trilogy," Ubisoft said that Revelations will follow its Renaissance-era wetworks maestro, who was first introduced in Assassin's Creed II. This time out, Ezio will visit the haunts of original Assassin's Creed protagonist Altair, visiting such Middle East strongholds as the Ottoman Empire's Constantinople. There, Ezio will once again take up arms against the Templar order.

In addition to its single-player storyline (which will also see the return of present-day protagonist Desmond), Revelations will retain the franchise's multiplayer component, which was introduced with last year's well-regarded Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. The publisher promises to update the online component with new modes, maps, and characters.

Ubisoft has pulled in a host of studios to bring Revelations to market. In addition to its flagship Montreal studio, Ubisoft's France, Quebec, Singapore, and Romania outfits, as well as Massive Entertainment have been tapped to lend a hand on the project. The publisher expects to have the game on-hand for this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, where its press conference is scheduled for Monday, June 6 at 2:30 p.m. PT.

Didn't we get the final chapter to Ezio's story back in AC2? Y'know, infiltrating Rome and kicking the stuffing out of the pope? Seriously, what can top that? Also, am I the only one who watches "The Borgias" and keeps hoping Ezio will jump out of the shadows and kill somebody?

Now they are really milking it...... I think instead of making the game easier by giving you extra gimmicks like crossbows yadda yadda...the game needs freshened up and should be a little harder as at the moment there's no need for stealth in the missions as you can easily run away or just simply kill everyone if detected, no punishment, no suspense, no incentive!. Why make stealth such a big element in the game yet need it less and less as they roll out these games?, after all it is called ASSASSINS Creed!, It should just be called Creed. I think now its trying to please to many people at once and has become a jack of all trades, master of none.

@Rump3lstiltskin This is not Assassins Creed 3, you will know when its out because it will have a 3 on it and it will have a brand new character to play as instead of ezio, unless we are playing through it all as desmond.

Ok, can some tell me if this is "Assassin's Creed 3" or is this a similar branch off story like Brotherhood was. I love this series but I am getting confused with the continuing Ezio storyline. Is Revelations acting like a buffer going into AC3? I thought AC3 was going to be all about Desmond. Can someone msg back, I feel like Subject 16. Tanx

can't wait for this! sounds so incredible and altair back can't go wrong. Ezio is a fantastic protagonist and the gameplay and story can only get better. Assassin's Creed series favourite all time series!

@ExFrost77 Maybe, but i still can't get enough of the story and the gameplay :P So i'd prefer they go on like this xD

Hell yes, I really hope we will get more chances to play with Altair and learn more of his story! The first game was obviously only there to set the tone and prepare for the epic series (although in some parts it was actually better than 2 and Brotherhood) so I can't wait to see what Ubisoft will do with Altair while using the amazing story telling from AC2 and Brotherhood! Also: return to Arabic world? YES!

@Roanark All good points but what I was really getting at wasn't there differences in skill and/or gear. What I was talking about was with Ezio we saw him grow from a proud young noble ignorant of the silent war going on around him to a master assassin dealing out death sentences personally and thru his assassin guild. Whereas when we met Altair he was too proud of his abilities, lost his rank, and while gaining it back learning more of the pieces of Eden, defeated Al Mualim and practically rebuilt the Assassins. Altair is far more knowledgeable than we know, far more than Ezio, it's just as I said, we only got to see one part of his life sadly. He wrote the codex that Ezio used to find the apple as well as upgrade his hidden blade to use poison, his unbreakable armor that you can wear in AC 2 was a result of him analyzing the apple. Altair was a character that we only got to see one side of for the most part, but from what I've read of Revelations we'll not only see more of him but get to play as him as well thankfully.

Ubisoft really needs to slow down with the AC series.

@Slinqy how do you know who his rival will be? :o

I really am getting bored with AC now and fed up with Ubisoft milking it for every penny. It’s yet again the same people and very similar places for a third game even though there’s a whole world to locate and any time period to play out. The first AC game was great and number 2 was perfect but Brotherhood has made the series a CoD style yearly release. With so many games coming out this Christmas (Elder Scrolls for one) I will give this one a miss.

I'm quite tired of Ezio. However, he isn't a bad character. He's just been used too much. Most of his life is over with. I still have the utmost confidence in Ubisoft to deliver here however. Going back and forth between Altair and Ezio would be refreshing seeing the difference in the cultures of the times. I am looking forward to all the new abilties...and...Ezio's new rival Yusuf Tazim.

@tariq393 what Im trying to say is ubisoft is trying their hardest on making us happy and people that complain all the time are being disrespectful? You aren't part of ubisoft? You don't know what kind of pressure they go through with making ac games. Be grateful ubisoft just rested and made it next year. Be happy that they are making a new assassins creed right around the corner. There fore no one including you have no reason to be mad.

I really wish they would have waited a little longer instead of using the Activision strategy and bombarding us every year with a sequel. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Assassins Creed, but with such short development time, how much work could they really put into this "Revelations"?? Not only that, with Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3, and Skyrim (Mass Effect 3 was pushed back thank god) I will have no time for this. :(

There will be a new protagonist in Assassin's Creed 3. Developers stated that they might consider making the new protagonist a woman.

@disposition000 well i appreciate you agreeing with me, as you can tell, so far everyone has this game so far up their ***, any talk about going against it is like blasphemy . I personally think the best game was AC2, i prefer Altair over Ezio due to his professionalism,bt that game had alot of improvements and keep the story going with a mind blowing ending.Thats was possible because they took their time on it,unlike what they are doing now, its kinda like COD nowadays.I thought they shouldve waited on releasing the multiplayer aspect, it was easy to tell in the first 30 mins of playing, it had more then enuff flaws. And well as for the story, it totally went in a bad direction i personally think. They need to stop rushing the games and go in a more in-depth story approach. But thats just me.

ok for all those people that are hating on ezio, fu! first of all ubisoft took a survey and it seemed that people had voted on having ezio as the character! Ok ubisoft has been working really hard and what do they get? "I WANTED A NEW ASSASSIN AND A NEW TIME PERIOD! EZIO IS BORING! EZIO SUCKS!" if you cant respect ubisoft and assassins creed then GTFO!

Maybe this time they can let us buy famous landmarks for no purpose whatsoever. Oh wait, they did that already. Maybe they could add interior design upgrades. That would be in keeping with the tradition of adding busy work to a story to make it feel full.
