Games being adapted to novels is increasingly losing its novelty. Halo, Gears of War, The Elder Scrolls, and Dragon Age are just a handful of the popular franchises to receive a literary adjustment in recent years. Assassin's Creed can be added to that list, as Ubisoft and Ace Books have published Assassin's Creed Renaissance in North America.

Ezio feels the need...the need to read!

Already available in the UK, the book follows Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the star of Assassin's Creed II, and the path of dead bodies in his wake as he pursues vengeance in 15th-century Italy. While it is built around the events of the game, it also fleshes out more of the story beyond last year’s Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 release.

The paperback is available now for $9.99, or as an Amazon Kindle download for $7.99. For more on Assassin's Creed II, check out GameSpot's full review.
