Assassin's Creed Liberation HD hitting Xbox 360 in "early 2014"

Ubisoft confirms launch window for Xbox 360 version of downloadable game; PC iteration hitting January 15.

The Xbox 360 version of downloadable game Assassin's Creed Liberation HD will be released in "early 2014," Ubisoft announced today. Yesterday, the developer confirmed the PlayStation 3 version will be available through the PlayStation Store on January 14, 2014.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft also confirmed today that the PC version of Assassin's Creed: Liberation will hit PC on January 15, 2014. The Xbox 360 version is the only iteration to not have a firm release date. All versions of the game will sell for $20 at launch.

Ubisoft also announced a special promotion today where players who purchase, or have already purchased, the Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Season Pass ($20) for PS3 or Xbox 360 will receive $5 off Assassin's Creed Liberation HD. It is good for a limited time only, Ubisoft said. The promotion was not announced for PC.

Assassin's Creed Liberation HD is a high-definition version of last year's Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, released at the time only on PlayStation Vita.

The game is set in New Orleans between 1765 and 1780 in the period spanning the end of the French and Indian War, up to the middle of the American Revolution. The game tells the story of Aveline, the first female lead in the series, who is of mixed French and African heritage.

Is any one such a big fan of AC that they want to play this on console. I didn't feel like I was missing anything in the first place.

Isn't Vita capable of HD and isn't Liberation already HD on it?

Don't bother with the game unless it's  like 15$/€

The problem I see with this game is the hoodie, she's not wearing one. I'm used to having the assassins in assassin's creed to wear hoodie, a hat feels.... mmm... different o.0 but still, looks awesome

OMG, this game has a female lead on it. I'm deffo gonna buy it now. There's a serious lack of female protagonists in games. I hope that changes with the times.

Just like the division, there is no mentioning about Pc launch in the title but instead covered up in small words. gamespot is seriously underrating PC community.

NIce.......now instead of just doin a HD version, how about you flesh out the story and develop Angeline more ? It was a good game, but if your gonna port it, give it a director's cut version.....the setting was great, yet they wasted a chance to tell a cool story. Build up was great, then poof.........story took a backseat. Give it the same storylevel as the other AC games and I'm sold.

Basically what Shawn said in his review for the vita version.

@LADIES_MAN_2013 A Black female lead to be exact. Now when was the last time you've seen That? (Played the Vita version, she looks like Rihanna.

@Creed02

they've been doing it heavily in 2008/09/10/11 - noticeably so. But lately they kinda eased off, it seems.

@Mr_Big_Boss it's not just the vita, PC ports such as Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2 ,  Gears of War & Alan Wake made it to PC eventually just as 1 example.

@NeoDemonChilde They are. It isn't just a straight port.  They are adding 15 new missions as well as tweaking a bunch of the existing missions. This on top of updating the graphics, animation, and controls.
