Aspyr Media today announced that the company will be publishing id's Doom 3 for the Macintosh. The long-awaited installment in the seminal first-person shooter series takes place within the ruins of an ancient Martian civilization, where all hell has literally broken loose. Doom 3 has been available for the PC since early August, and is expected to hit the Xbox in March 2005. Though no release date has been set for the Mac version, Aspyr's Web site is accepting preorders. Doom 3 is rated "M" for Mature and will set diehard Mac gamers back $49.99.
Aspyr bringing Doom 3 to Mac
The leading Macintosh developer will port id's gruesome FPS sequel to the Apple platform. No release date has been set.
Why do I bother? Sure an iMac costs more, but for very good reason just as a Ferrari costs more for a very good reason.
This is not the first time I had problems with listing. There are 5(five) and counting games including doom3 that I have for my iMac but can not list here at gamespot under the MAC classification.
Release date for Doom 3 by Aspyr Media was 3/14/2005, I purchased a copy for $47.95 from the Macgamestore.
