Asiasoft to release PSO 2 and DC Universe Online in Southeast Asia

Asian publisher to publish both MMORPGs this year; no specific date given as of yet.

by

Online game publishers Asiasoft has announced that it will be expanding its line-up of games for Southeast Asian customers this year.

PSO 2 and DC Universe Online will have Southeast Asian servers and clients this year.

According to the company's investor relations report, the Southeast Asian company was planning to release the English version of Phantasy Star Online 2 and to officially release DC Universe Online for the PC in the region. The company had not announced release dates at this point in time.

PSO 2 was scheduled for an early 2013 release in North America, but was delayed by publisher Sega. More than 1.7 million players in Japan registered for the MMORPG. DC Universe Online was released in 2011 for PC and PS3. The game switched to a free-to-play model on November 2011.

Asiasoft should fuck off
Dont ruin PSO2 for SEA people

Now i understand why most japanese games dont release anywhere else
And i agree with that
To preserve the quality of the title

And i cant help but laugh at people who rage when they get stuck at the captcha lol....

PSO2 was awful anyways.  I played the patched Japanese version.  RO 2 is not even worth mentioning any where, at any time.

PSO 2 is gonna be 3 years old by the time sega gets around to the English version at this rate.

Sega:  The only company that refuses to respond to, "and take my money".. instead only the "shut up" part at the beginning.

It's not like it's really gonna matter over here in SEA, those that are dedicated are already playing the JP version. Besides, the only thing that will be done by most of the current SEA player is to just port what they have learnt over to the SEA side, and just 'dominate' everything.

As a European, this seems relevant to me. Oh wait no it doesn't.

you can still play this game on Japanese servers right now -- its actually quite fun, and reminds me of blueburst.. there are plenty of guides on how to register etc.. and even English patches to get most of the game in English.

OMFG PSO2?!!! I still play PSO on my Dreamcast. Can't wait to continue the hunt for red drops. I hope they develop the monster part drops to create better weapons. Well, I hope they just don't F@#% it all up and go all 'EA' on it.

PSO2 is a MO, not a MMO and the registered users went over 2 million a few months ago
