Ascendant Studios revealed a new trailer for its upcoming game Immortals of Aveum during the PlayStation Showcase. The upcoming first-person game will have you using a variety of magical powers as you fight enemies.

The trailer opens up with a shot of the game's protagonist explaining to someone how "The Hand" has arrived and a voice telling him to follow them but not to engage. That's followed by the protagonist ignoring his orders, and he begins to fight a series of creators. As the trailer goes on, we're given glimpses of the player fighting various creatures while using different magical abilities.

The game was originally announced during the 2022 Game Awards. The game has been in production for several years, led by Dead Space creative director Bret Robbins. Immortals of Aveum will be released on July 20 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. "I founded Ascendant Studios to make original and epic games, and here we are, four years later, about to finish our first one," Robbins said in a recent press release.
