Agetec has announced that the North American version of Armored Core 2: Another Age will not support the PlayStation 2 modem. The official PS2 modem, which will be included with the Ethernet adapter, will not be available until November of this year, and rather than wait, Agetec, the game's publisher, has decided to release AC2: Another Age without online support.

"We have a completed title with 100 new missions and more than two dozen two-player areas for head-to-head action," said Kevin Sullivan, vice president of sales and marketing for Agetec. "Armored Core 2: Another Age offers a tremendous value to the gamers with a near limitless combination of parts and accessories for their Armored Core units in all-new environments."

In addition to the 100 new missions, Armored Core 2: Another Age has several features not found in the original Armored Core 2. The game now includes an improved emblem creation system and new parts and more color schemes for the cores. Armored Core 2: Another Age will be released this August for the PlayStation 2.
