Electronic Arts today shipped its latest real-time strategy game, Armies of Exigo, to retail stores. Developed by Black Hole Games, the title pits gamers in control of armies of elves, goblins, beasts, and the Fallen, a collection of creatures of the dark. Armies of Exigo breaks ground in the RTS category by actually breaking ground--battles take place on the surface and below the ground in caverns at the same time, forcing new strategies and gameplay. The game features a single-player campaign and a multiplayer mode that supports 12 players. Armies of Exigo is rated "T" for Teen and sells for $39.99.
