Arithmetic finds funding

The new game development studio secures its first round of funding to use toward developing its sci-fi game, W.A.T.E.R.

Arithmetic Studios, a new San Francisco-based game developer founded by Digital Anvil alum Robert Holm, has announced that it has secured its first round of funding from a private investor. The funding will be used for the development of the studio's first project, the first-person action game W.A.T.E.R. Blood Runs Deep. The game is set in the future at a time when the world's water supply has been lost and one man must find a way to save the human race from extinction.

We've posted some early concept art from the game in the gallery above. W.A.T.E.R. Blood Runs Deep is scheduled for release in 2004. For more information, visit the official Arithmetic Studios Web site.
