Hopefully you get FXX.

The forthcoming season of Archer won't air on FX, as the previous seven seasons did. Instead, Season 8 will air on FX's sister network, the comedy-focused FXX.

FX announced the move today, making it the second time the decision has been made. Previously, Season 7 was slated to air on FXX, but it ended up on FX all the same. This time, it sounds like the shift will actually happen.

"Archer is an awesome addition to the growing slate of original comedies on FXX, where it will join It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Man Seeking Woman, and You're the Worst,” said FX Networks COO Chuck Saftler (via Deadline). "Adam Reed, Matt Thompson, and Floyd County continue to make one of the funniest shows on television, and it’s great to see them earn the awards and acclaim that comes with one of the most loyal and avid fan bases in the industry."

Deadline notes this move comes as part of a push for animation on the network. Archer was renewed last year for three more seasons, for a total of 10, though they'll be shorter than those in the past. Reed, the show's creator, revealed in October that the plan is to bring the series to an end after Season 10.
