Arcanum debuts at number four

Sierra's latest role-playing game takes fourth place on NPD's latest list of best-selling games, behind Flight Simulator 2000, The Sims, and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.

Sierra's latest role-playing game, Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, debuted at fourth place in NPD Intelect's latest list of best-selling games. The game is set in an industrial revolution-era fantasy world where magic and technology clash, and it lets players assume the role of a wide variety of characters.

Blizzard's role-playing game expansion Diablo II: Lord of Destruction continued its sales streak, taking the top spot for the sixth time in seven weeks, followed by Electronic Arts' popular virtual-life game, The Sims, in second place. Microsoft's latest civilian flight sim, Flight Simulator 2000, took third place, while EA's Madden NFL 2002 joined the list at number five.
