Aquaman probably won't wear a fedora, though.

When Justice League releases next year, Aquaman director James Wan says we'll get an idea of what the aquatic superhero's standalone movie will be like. Additionally, Wan told Entertainment Tonight that the standalone film will be "in the spirit of Raiders of the Last Ark meets Romancing the Stone."

"I kind of don't want to give too much away but know this: The spirit that I'm going for is like a classic sort of swashbuckling action adventure, sort of high seas adventure story," he said. "It's ultimately a quest story in the spirit of Raiders of the Lost Ark meets Romancing the Stone."

Unfortunately, as he said, no other details were revealed. We'll keep you up to date on more Aquaman and Justice League news as it comes in.

Aquaman opens in theaters on July 28, 2018. It stars Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, Amber Heard (The Danish Girl) as Mera, and Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man) as Nuidis Vulko. Wan is best known for his directorial and written work on Fast & Furious 7 and horror movies such as Saw and Insidious.

We've seen Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and the first Justice League trailer, but we got our first look at Heard as Mera with an image of her in awesome-looking green armor. Two other heroes are expected to don unique looks in Justice League, with Batman in a new suit and Superman wearing something much darker than usual.

Although Superman will likely wear a black suit in the upcoming movie, he can be seen in a behind-the-scenes video wearing his classic red and blue. You can see that, in addition to the cast and crew goofing around here.
