Speaking with The Wall Street Journal's All Things Digital, Rovio's Ville Heijari revealed the new statistic, noting it represents paid and free downloads across the suite of Angry Birds titles: Angry Birds, Angry Birds: Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio. Additionally, the Christmas fever for Angry Birds is growing by leaps and bounds. According to the report, Christmas 2010 downloads for Angry Birds reached just 2 million across iOS- and Android-powered devices.

If a new report is accurate, Angry Birds' ubiquity in the mobile market was also underscored on Christmas Day. Mobile application analytics firm Flurry recently found that 6.8 million iOS and Android devices were activated on Christmas Day. Another prominent finding in the Flurry report was that 242 million total apps were downloaded across iOS and Android devices on Dec. 25.
