Anarchy Online story update

Funcom has announced that the story of its online role-playing game, Anarchy Online, is set to begin on October 31. The addition will include new characters, missions, and other content, and it will let players participate in events and quests related to the complex ongoing storyline. To give players a glimpse of what the story will include, Funcom will open its Anarchy Online story portal, a new section of the community site dedicated to the game's storyline.

The story was created by Funcom's Gaute Godager and Ragnar Tornquist, and the first season will run from the end of October to May 2002. Prophet Without Honour, a novel written by Tornquist and based on the Anarchy Online universe's back-story, will be released on October 15.
