Eidos Interactive has announced that its upcoming 3D role-playing game Anachronox has gone gold. The game lets players assume the role of Sylvester "Sly" Boots, an out-of-work detective in a sci-fi universe. Boots accepts a job that draws him into a mysterious quest that will eventually lead him across the galaxy. Along the way, players will meet and adventure with a variety of other characters, and the game lets players control up to three characters at a time.

Anachronox was developed by Ion Storm, and it will be available in stores by the end of the month for an approximate retail price of $39.95. For more information, take a look at our collection of screenshots, movies, and in-depth previews of the game.
